Happy birthday Dad, Elder and Elder Clouse!
Alright so as for the secoind week of black ROcks, Well you should all be happy to hear that 3 investigators ended up joinming us in church yesterday! IT was quite lovely! I was pretty stoaked for that! This week passed pretty fast actually, we hae really been hammering on contacts this week and yesterday we ended up contacting around 150 people in the street durign the week, so that felt pretty good! ASnd because of that we were planned about all week and p`retty planned up untill wednesday of this week! It always feels good to start planning for the next day only to finde that its already planned! RIght now we are working with a few people, FIrst is Rena and Alfredo, the were a member reference during the week. THey took all of the lessons form the Elders who were here before us, but the Elders ended up dropping them, and we dont know why because the Area book hadnt been touched for months, maybe years... We have tought them The restoration, Plan of Salvation Law of Chasity and Word of wisdome. We are trying to get them married so that they dont have problems with the commandment anymore and so they can get baptized. And this Feb 14th veracruze is doing free marages, se we are really trying to get them to jumo on that and get married! THen we have Julian and Beatriz, they were left for us by the other Elders, Beatriz grew up in the church, but fell away with her family when she was about 9, so inactive but julian is who we have been workign with, we are trying to get the two of them married the 14 as well, in fact the act is already being processed for them so things seem to be good so far. We still havent been able to teach him anything yet, he hasnt been able to make it to any appointments, so we really gotta sit and chat with him, he works with a member so sometimes we go there and talk to him. He has Already taken all of the lessons from the other Elders, we just gotta see where his knowledge is it now. So cross your fingers that those two coulpes will do what they need to to get married the 14 and baptized the 19th! Then we have Javier, he is 14, he moved from guadaljara about 6 months ago and is living here with his aunt, he was obviously a reffe3rence form her, things seem to be going good for him so fare, the only impediment is we gotta get some communication to his parents that we are teaching, so we are praying that we can get things figured out. But those are our invetsigatores right now.
THen we have two more that seem to be good, but we havent taught them yet, so if anything happens ill let you know how it goes next week! The weather hear has been crazy for the week, its been cold, i have slept with a sweater every night and we even worked with sweaters a few of the days! How crazy is that! its normally so hot hear! But i have really been enjoying these cold fronts! SO then can keep coming and it aint gonna bother me! Lets just hope that it doens mean we are gonna have a bad hurricane season! I suffered a little bit of a cold because of the cold, but im already over is thanks to Zycame so keep that coming please! Today for pday we went to veracruze with some others form the zone to play soccer on the beach. Because of the wind the waves were huge! we were walking along the road and the waves splashed us pretty good ha, and it was all fun untill the sand got blown up, se we all got covered in sand and couldnt see, so we went and washed off in the mission office and ended up playing soccer there, but it was really cool to see the gulf! Not to mention my teacm won! And then pres Hansen came out for a few minutes and talked, it was a fun day!
So as fe me, aside form thje cold i have felt really happy, im reading in 1 corhtinthians, book of jacob and pmg, D&C sec 20 for my studies for the past week, i get board of the smae book every deay, so i just kinda rotate. Im learnign alot of really neat things in my studies, especially in D&C, such neat stuff. BUt just doing what i can to be happy, to have the spirit that a representative of Christ should have, to enjoy life, and to enjoy this preciouse and short time that i have as a missionary. Thats about all i can think of, so lets hope and pray that things can fall into place for these people to make the steps toward thier salvation! Thak you all for your support and love, its all greatly appreciated!
