Ok, this week alot happened. SO first i recived Elder Peña tuesday. SO far we have seemed to be getting along fine. He has just under 8 months in the misison. He is a young missionary, but he has lots of good goals and we seem to cop just fine so far.
So this week something really fun happens, after being in mexico for a year i was stuck with montezuma revenge. Yup i leaned my lesson of not eating food from the street... so tuesday i went to tres valles to wiat for our new companions with elder mosqueda, and in the morning we were really hungery so we just went to a little restauant and got a little bit of food. THen our comps came and we returnd to the aea thinking nothing of it. then the next day i started to have the runs pretty good. But i just fingured it was nothing and kept on working all of wednesday. then thursday comes we do our weekly planning and durnign planning i started to feel really hot, my skin just felt hotter and hotter, and my body just started to feel really tired, but i just figured its part of being a missionary in mexico and just kept on going. So we ust kept on working knocking doors, and around 3 we had our food appointment. Our food appointment thursday was in one of the mor distant pueblos of the area, to get there we have to take a moto taxi, wich is basically a dirtbike with a cart welded behinde it. Its always fun when we we go all the way out there. Aas we wre working and doing all of this i was incresingly feeling more and more tired. so by the time we finally got to the food i didnt want to eat anything because i felt soo bad. and so i just drank water and rested in thier hammack while my companion ate. and he started to convince me to call the misison mom Hermana treviño to get some help. So after a little bit of me saying no im fine i dont need to rest we just gotta keep working adn it will pass, i finally called her and told her how i felt and everything and she told us to go to the nearest doctor. SO we went to the doctor he started asking me questions about how i feel he took my temp, and it turns out that i has a temp of 40* C wich is 102* F ... it starttled him a little bit to see that i had been working. SO he gave me a shot to imediatly lower the fever and then he diagnost me with montezumas revenge, aka stomach infection... woo hoo! so after that, arond 5 in the afternoon we went home andi just slept. THey gave me some antibiotics and anti fever meds and stuff to fight the infection. ANd lots of water and pedialyte. so i just rested. Thursday night was a pretty long night. I have been taking the medicines morning and night ever since and tomorrow should be my last day withthem. I dont like them because they make me feel a little wierd and they take my appatite away, i feel full most of the time but at the same time i feel pretty hungry, its all fun.
SOmething else that has been fun this week is the member that we live with just got back from visiting her family in california. Its been good to have her to help us, she makes us dinner and breakfast. Itsw been nice to have her back, she is and sweet ladyand she is 80years old. Thats crazy. But she is really sweet. THey are doing alot of work on the house right now and so its makes it hard to finde a few moments of tranquility. But she is a really sweet lady.
WIth the infection, the new companion, and having hermana gabina return have been a little stressfull, adn today i feel a bit tens with everything. Alot of our investigators have fallent his week, It looks like Daniel and Guadalupe arnt gettting baptized for 2 more weeks. ITs taking soem pacience, but ill be happy when they finally go through with it. BUt with investigators thats about the only progress, there were alot who didnt come to church again so we are jst gonna drop alot of peole this week and start looking for new ones, so that meant this next week will probably be a bit slower with looking for new peopel and everything else. BUt its will be ok, my fairht is that everythign will somehow work out for my good. BUt im anxiouse to see what i will have to tell you guys next week. BUt i really do love you all, i coouldnt do a single day of this without your support and your prayers! Take care and dont forget to smile!
