Transfer 2: Just Trying

Dear Reader,

Well, tomorrow transfer 2 of Mexico officially begins; I got to admit looking back I'm wondering how I made it this far, Thank good ness for a loving Heavenly Father right?

What Can You Do?
Well about this week, it seems that it has gone by pretty fast again. Pretty much everything up until Friday was just the same 'ole same 'ole, walking around the surface of the sun trying to find someone to teach, trying our best to be diligent--just trying.  During the week Dulce decided that she didn’t want to be taught anymore, and that was a real big bummer. But, what can ya do?

Splits
And so we went through that whole routine. Then Friday we had to go to Tres Valles for entrevistas, so I was on splits with Elder Holgun in Tres Valles while Elder CasteƱeda went around and did entrevistas for baptisms. Elder Holgune is a neat guy. He is from Chihuahua, Mexico and really good at being positive and it was nice to work with. It felt good to come back and be in Tierra Blanca.

Scripture Chase and a Baptism
On the bus ride home me and Elder Castaneda worked some things out. So now this leads us to Saturday morning.  We woke up, did our studies and what not, and then we went straight to Hermana Leticia’s house. She said so herself that she was home by a miracle. She was supposed to go work, but for whatever reason she ended up not working. Then we were there for I don’t even know for how long, and we were just searching and asking and trying to find an answer to all of her doubts and doing absolutely everything that we could to help her to see that this is what she needs right now. After what seemed like forever and a million shared testimonies, she committed to take her next step forward in her life and be baptized that night. It was a joint baptism with the Elders from the Independencia Ward. It certainly was quite an exiting experience, but I'm hoping I don’t have to do that many more times!

So because of some Herbal life thing the bishop and Hermana Leticia were in Tuxtepec for Sunday so now we have to wait and do the confirmation this coming Sunday. But I'm just really glad to end the transfer on that. I guess you can say unity is key... but that’s all for this week! Hasta luego!
