[Missionary Service] is led by men called of Dios.

Wow! It’s hard to believe I have been here for 2 weeks! It feels like I have been here for so much longer! This week has been great! I finally feel at home and I finally feel comfortable here. I love my district too much, and I am so proud of them. We work so hard and we are getting as much out of the MTC as much as we can! I feel like I have grown and learned so much while I have been here. Family I love you so much and I’m so grateful for all of the goodness and happiness you have brought me. I feel your love for me now more than I ever have. Sophia and Paige, thank you for the “dear elders.” They made me happier than you can ever know! I love hearing from you guys and it makes me so happy to hear how things are in your life. Paige, good luck with your science project, congratulations on finally finding a project! Sophia I’m glad you an Alyssa are getting along, the Moyers are such a great family and you can learn a lot of good things from them! The most important thing being out here is staying busy, because when I’m not it’s not as fun. But I can honestly say I am giving this mission everything I’ve got so far and that I’m trying my absolute hardest with what I have and what I know every second.

Father, I would like to thank you for setting the bar and the example for serving a mission. I know now more than ever that I have experienced and felt blessings of you serving your faithful mission and your hard work and you doing your best blessed me and helped your family soo much and I’m so grateful for your sacrifice and I’m so grateful to mother and Father for sacrificing so much on my behalf and for giving me so much and for helping me with so many things.

I am so proud of my family and I am so proud to be part of the unique Nelson clan hahaha. I know that by me serving a faithful full-time mission that I too can raise a family and have an eternal companion who will experience the blessings of this great and hard work that I am going through now, and that is a great source of motivation for me because I know that I am working now for blessings that will bless my children and future wife for ever and for all eternity. I am so grateful for that; it really helps me to be motivated to work my hardest because I am not doing this for me at all—I am doing it for them and I have faith that they will be blessed exceedingly for the work that I’m am doing my best at.

Katie and mom, thank you for the “dear elders” also, it’s so nice to hear about things I never could have imagined before the mission. I am glad to hear that Jake is doing great. He has been such a great friend and example to me and I hope he knows that I look up to him a lot more than he thinks I do.

I bear my testimony in Spanish as much as possible. Me and Elder Ricks teach a lesson or we have a tutor every day of the week, we are truly working as hard and productively as we can and I know we will reap the benefits in the mission field.

Every time I see a picture of the Mesa temple here, it reminds me of how much I look forward to going to the temple every week with my wife and holding her hand as we walk up those stairs! I am so exited for this work and I am so grateful for all the hard times that are making me so much better and that are preparing me for the life after the mission. I am so exited to give the people of Veracruz all that I have. It’s hard to stay focused here in the white walls of the MTC, but I know that I must have patience because there has been 180 years of practice and tweaking put into the mission process. It is led by men called of Dios (God) and that things are how they should be for a reason and that every rule is in place for a reason.

Jeffery R. Holland came and talked to us last night in a devotional and he gave me much strength and motivation and helped me find my motivations for being out here (which is my future family!) and I know that so many things will come from me serving the absolute best with what I have and what I know and I know that the atonement will make up for the rest! I love you all and I’m so grateful for your support and I anxiously wait to here from you! Nose vemos!
